Welcome to Women's Ministries!
Welcome to Women's Ministries!
Women's Ministries upholds women as they develop unique, God-given qualities. Women's Ministries is just what the words imply -- a ministry to women. Women's Ministries is here to equip women to effectively use their unique abilities to share Jesus' love with the world around them. We encourage continued spiritual growth through prayer, Bible study and redemptive outreach to change lives one heart at a time.
Available resources include a library of books, videos, and equipment free of charge. A list of qualified women is available to speak at your church or Women's Ministries events.

He Knows My Name
Main Presenters: Heather-Dawn Small
Heather presently holds the position of Women's Ministries Director for the General Conference of Seventh-day Adventists. Heather-Dawn is the wife of Pastor Joseph Small and the mother of a daughter Dalonne who is 25 years old and a son Jerard, who is 18 years old.
Prior to coming to the General Conference in 2001 she held the position of Children's and Women's Ministries Director for the Caribbean Union Conference located on the twin island republic of Trinidad and Tobago for five years.
Heather-Dawn loves air travel, reading, embroidery, scrapbooking, and stamp collecting and she enjoys ministry to women.
As she travels the world she has three passions - to see more women involved in evangelism, to encourage women to be involved in ministry to others - especially young women, and to share the joy that God has given her in spite of life's many challenges. Her favorite word is "JOY" and her favorite saying is "Don't let anyone steal your joy."

Joyce Burkeen presents: Testimony --What is Your Story
We connect on many different levels with the hearts of people every day. To touch those hearts for God is the Gospel Commision. Come and learn to tell your story of how God has worked in your life. Don't be tongue-tied at your next connection for Him...be ready to tell what God can do! Childhood memories pocked with violent outbursts from an abusive alcoholic father, God led Joyce on a journey from anger and fear to forgiveness and trust. She feels that our testimony is our best personal witness of God to others.
Jan Ellis presents: Principles of Decision Making
We talk about the importance of making a good decision, but the question is how? Bring your Bibles to this seminar and discover how principles of Scripture will guide your decisions. A gregarious grandmother and gardener, Jan's love of learning and Scripture is evident in the seminars she preesnts. Recent reaching experiences include developing an ESL program for women in her community. A lifelong educator, Jan lives in Chelan, Washington with her husband.
Dr. Susie Hill presents: Ten Things Women Should Know About Money
Bev Schultz presents: The Bible--like some foods--better when shared
So you think you are too timid to give a Bible study or lead a women's study group? Come to this "hands on" class and see just how easy it is to not only study the Bible more deeply for yourself, but to easily share it with others as God has asked us to do. "Live wisely among those who are not believers, and make the most of every opportunity..." (Colossians 4:5 NL). Bev is an RN that is currently the bookeeper and special projects manager for a dental office group. But her passion is sharing the Lord with others. Currently Bev is a worship leader at a Seventh-day Adventist service in a prison, a local church elder, and leads out in a women's Bible study group. Come hear her testimony about how God is using her to spread His Good News.
Angelina Wood presents: Finding Inner Healing and Wholeness in Christ
How accessible is God's healing touch for people who are hurting? For those experiencing the darkness of deep emotional wounds, there is hope through the tender care of Jesus our precious Savior, who understands our heart strugggles and the weakness of our natures. He has compassion on us, forgives us our errors and bestows upon us the graces which we earnestly desire. Angelina will share parts of her personal journey of healing and show the path toward inner healing through the Holy Spirit. For the last 25 years Angelina has served as an educator and administrator in Chile, California, Andrews University in Michigan, and the Oregon Conference Children's Ministries Department. She is currently serving the churches and schools in the Oregon Conference in her role of Risk Management Director. Angelina strongly believes that we can only be safe in following where Christ leads us.
